Product Description

Hospitality is a high art in Turkey—each guest is treated with utmost care, like a dear friend showered with abundant offerings of food and an ever-filling cup of çay (tea) to complement it. Besides the commonplace black tea, you may be lucky enough to find yourself offered one of many herbal teas, probably picked and dried by your host even. The concepts of sofra (table setting) and sohbet (conversation) are a beautiful daily art which is freely given and taken, flowing like breathing.

Our MediTEArranean Blend is a fusion of Southern Turkey’s herbal tea favorites into a novel, elegant synthesis that will take your senses on a stroll through the fields and forests of Alanya, a town which drapes along a beautiful cove on the Mediterranean Sea. All herbs are personally sourced directly from small farms and village harvesters, while listening to the ‘aunties’ who carry the wisdom of traditional Turkish and Yürük herbalism, as we hope to forge a bridge between cultures to introduce many of these herbs to Americans.
